4:1 Dual CORE high power HF Balun

The TZ-230D-4m balun is a high performance low loss, dual core 4:1 balun CURRENT balun. The balun is supplied with all stainless steel connections, fully sealed in a high impact ABS plastic case and is suitable for boom mounting or sling mounting. Two (2) toroidal ferrite cores are used to extend the useable range of the balun down to 80m, whilst still being able to handle high power, without saturating.

The TZ-230D-4m Balun features include:

Operating frequency	2 to 30 MHz (usable to 1.8 MHz reduced VSWR & additional losses)
Operating power	500W PEP - 250CW continuous (into a matched load)
Type	Dual Toroidal, ferrite core
Ratio	4:1
Typical impedance	50 ohm or 75 ohm (200 - 300 ohms load impedance)
Thru loss	Less than 0.25 dB (typical)
VSWR	Degradation less than 1.2:1 (typical)

The TZ-230D-4m is not a kit. It is supplied fully constructed with detailed installation instructions and hardware for mounting.

The TZ-230D-4m is an excellent choice for inverted log periodic arrays, Vee beams, rhombics, Off Centre Fed (OCF) dipoles, windoms, single element quads,  random length wires and other high impedance balanced antennas.
